La ciudad de Kobane fue mundialmente conocida en 2015 por su resistencia contra Estado Islámico. Este hecho ha marcado a sus jóvenes, pero también lo han hecho los importantes cambios sociales que se han llevado a cabo en la zona autónoma del norte y el este de Siria. Zilan es escritora y le gustaría poder vivir tranquilamente, pero la amenaza de una nueva guerra no le permite construir una vida normal. Hussein, en cambio, decidió alistarse a las fuerzas de autodefensa kurdo-árabes. Ambos intentan construir su futuro en medio de la destrucción de la guerra y la esperanza de la revolución.
